While Mamelodi Sundowns have failed to steal headlines in the off-season with new signings, as rivals Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs between them have bagged enough players to build a small army, the reigning champions may just be entering the fray soon.

According to reports, Sundowns may be interested in acquiring the services of Cape Town City forward Jody Ah Shene.

The 20-year-old rose to prominence as he played for Amajita at the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year. There Ah Shene was one of the standout performers for SA as he played in all seven matches as his nation were crowned champions.

Now, Sundowns are intent on signing Ah Shene according to Soccer Laduma - although the club has not confirmed its interest yet.
