Mamelodi Sundowns’ Lucas Ribeiro was the biggest winner on the night during Tuesday evening’s PSL Awards.
The Brazilian hitman, who bagged 16 league goals, walked away with the PSL Footballer of the Season award, as well as the Player’s Player of the Season gong, and the Betway Premiership’s top goalscorer.
Ribeiro, whose future with Sundowns is up in the air, was given the recognition he deserved after a season where he lit up the league with some eye-catching performances.
For the second season in a row, Orlando Pirates starlet Relebohile Mofokeng was once again named the Young Player of the Season. The 20-year-old also walked away with the MTN8 Last Man Standing award, given to the best player in the competition.
Mofokeng is expected to depart Pirates after the club reportedly reached an agreement over the transfer fee with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq.
