A moment of coming into full circle turned into a bitter reality for Former Governor of the South African Reserve Bank Tito Mboweni.
The former office bearer took to social media platform, X, to share pictures of his visit to his former school, Bordeaux Combined Primary School in Nyanyukani Village in Tzaneen Limpopo.

“Today, I paid an unscheduled impromptu visit to my old primary school. Bordeaux Primary School. Had fun!,” said Mboweni.
However, social media users were not impressed by the minister’s actions and chastised the former office bearer for the state and and condition of his former school.
They should have CHASED YOU AWAY. This is disgraceful for someone who was once in power. The buildings look like your shoes.

The comments are sending me 😂, so you wanted him to misdirect funds and build his own Nkandla back home? He was not responsible for infrastructure bathong he had his specific finance portfolio that allocated funds to other portfolios who failed to implement.

Looking at these poor kids, some can't even afford long pants, and it's winter 💔my heart is breaking for them. Looking forward to hearing what you will be organising for their upliftment

You could have made a meaningful change by investing in technology and digital infrastructure for the school, but instead, you chose to stage a photo moment. It’s hard not to feel let down by priorities like these.
