iStore South Africa has announced that the iPhone 17, including the new iPhone Air, will be available locally from 19 September 2025, with pre-orders opening on 12 September.
IOL previously reported that the iPhone 17 lineup is expected to feature substantial improvements, including a sleeker design, upgraded camera system, and significantly better battery performance across all models in the range.
According to Apple, the iPhone 17 will now be available starting with 256GB of storage — double the entry storage from the previous generation — and a 512GB option, in five beautiful colours: black, lavender, mist blue, sage, and white".
iStore South Africa said "the iPhone 17 range, including the all-new iPhone Air, will launch on 19 September 2025, with pre-orders opening on 12 September 2025".
"Online Pre-orders for cash purchases and cellular contracts at iStore open 12 September 2025. Once launched on 19 September, the new iPhone range will be available across all 38 stores nationwide"
iStore added that customers will also benefit from trade-in options, expert support, complimentary iCarePlus, and flexible network contracts, ensuring a seamless and valuable purchase experience.
The company also explained that customers can trade in up to five devices, including iPhones, Macs, iPads, Apple Watches, PCs, or Android smartphones and receive up to R23,000 cash back to put toward a new iPhone 17 or iPhone Air.
