Even with her travels as a celebrated presenter and radio host, South Africa’s very own diamond, Minnie Dlamini, remains deeply connected to her roots and the vibrant continent she proudly calls home.

Dlamini shared her latest escapade in Lusaka, Zambia, with her followers on Instagram, embracing the rich culture and traditions that Africa has to offer.

In a stunning showcase of style, Dlamini, a proud Zulu girl, donned a magnificent Nguni African print dress crafted by a local South African designer.

The choice of attire resonated harmoniously with Zambia's famed chitenge fabric - a lively textile celebrated for its bold patterns and vibrant colours, integral to Zambian culture.

Her photos not only highlighted her fashion choices but also symbolised a cultural exchange that pays homage to the continent's diversity.

“I had the most beautiful day in Lusaka 🇿🇲♥️ Travelling our continent, connecting and networking with my people is such a blessing,” she wrote, capturing the essence of her trip.

She also took time to visit kids from a local school, who were more than excited to see the presenter and showered her with hugs.

However, this journey was not solely about aesthetics. It also had a significant professional intent as Dlamini addressed a summit focused on the creative industries.

During her keynote speech, she passionately articulated, “Africa’s creative industries hold the power to build economies, shape narratives, and transform communities. It’s time to move beyond talk and invest in infrastructure, collaboration, and ownership that will build a thriving creative ecosystem on our continent.”

With these words, she highlighted the importance of fostering creativity and innovation within Africa, a sentiment that resonates increasingly in today's global landscape.

In an unexpected twist, Dlamini recently made waves with her announcement of a return to her hometown, Durban.

She revealed plans to join popular radio station Gagasi FM.

“Durban, I’m home for a brand new chapter 🚀,” her post announced, as she looked forward to what lay ahead.

Yet, her journey has not been linear.

Shortly after settling back into Durban, she declared her imminent return to Johannesburg, sharing her heartfelt goodbye amidst gratitude for the experiences she had in the coastal city.

“Durban, you’ve been amazing for us. Siyabonga 🥹🙏🏾 My heart is FULL ♥️ Now back to the concrete jungle, JHB LET’S GOOOO🚀💎🎬,” she penned in her Instagram post, capturing a whirlwind of emotions as she moved on to this next chapter.
