South African media personality Dr Musa Mthombeni and his wife, Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni, are once again giving fans a glimpse into their jet-setting lifestyle - this time with a romantic European getaway.
The couple recently travelled from Lisbon, Portugal, to Amsterdam, Netherlands, sharing highlights of their trip on Instagram.
Liesl posted a carousel of 20 photos capturing their time in Lisbon. The images show the pair in coordinated outfits posing in front of the city’s iconic yellow tram, taking in sweeping rooftop views, and indulging in local cuisine.
In her caption, she humorously addressed her husband’s fashion choices.
“A short little trip to get our bodies ready for the cold and treachery that is a South African winter. Before you judge me for Musa’s outfit choices, I need it to be known that he left for Portugal before me.
"He packed his own bags, and I’m just as shocked when he says ‘I’m ready to go’ as you all are.”
In Amsterdam, the couple continued their sightseeing adventures, enjoying the city’s canals, local food spots and cultural landmarks such as the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
Musa also shared a light-hearted moment on social media, joking about the purpose of their visit:
“I’m going to be honest with you guys. The only reason why we came to Amsterdam is that Liesl wanted to have this brown sugar ice latte, and she wanted to have a Vietnamese bowl from a market that we will go to later on this week.”
Since tying the knot in August 2021, the Mthombenis have become known for their globe-trotting lifestyle, with past trips to destinations including the Philippines, Greece, Brazil, Thailand and Mauritius.
The couple’s latest holiday comes amid recent online cheating rumours involving Dr Musa.
Liesl quickly dismissed the speculation, instead focusing on their upcoming milestone.
In a recent Instagram post, she shared her excitement about their fifth wedding anniversary:
“Counting down to the 5-year wedding anniversary street bash. The question is, will the street bash be in Eldos or the Vaal?”
Musa also addressed the rumours directly, reaffirming his commitment to his wife:
“If you hear anything about me that isn’t about me loving my baby girl, school, career, family, or generally enjoying life, it’s a lie!”
Despite online chatter, the couple continue to present a united front, celebrating love, travel and shared experiences while keeping fans entertained with their candid and humorous posts.
