“Generations: The Legacy” has announced the return of Vusi Kunene as the iconic supervillain, Jack Mabaso.
The world of South African television is constantly changing and striving to give viewers an entertaining storyline, even if it means resurrecting characters from the past.
Gabriel Temudzani has even reprised his role on “Muvhango” as Azwindini Mukwevho.
Kunene, this month said goodbye to his role on e.tv’s successful “House of Zwide”, taking a break from the busy world of television but this August viewers will see him on SABC 1.
“Vusi Kunene is one of the truly great actors! He will continue to heighten the standard of entertainment television in South Africa and beyond, reminding us of the iconic status of Generations,” said an excited executive producer Mfundi Vundla.
Kunene is a part of “Generations” history being a part of the original soapie and also a part of “Generations: They Legacy”.

Fans are split over the legendary actor’s return, some are excited to see how the villain will spice up the storyline and some can’t help but have doubts. “You know you love to hate Jack. And he loves it!” said the legendary actor.
“One of the great lingering questions on ‘Generations: The Legacy’ is finally getting answered – “Is he dead, or isn’t he?” said Casting Director Russel Savadier.
“I’m as delighted as anyone that he’s alive and well and returning in dramatic fashion to our show. Vusi Kunene’s re-entry into our world is going to keep viewers glued to their seats!”.
