Pretoria - Less than 13 months after its SA launch in August 2013, Nissan's Almera sedan has been nipped, tucked and up-specced to emphasise its family resemblance to the latest offerings from Nissan.
Exterior changes includes slimmer headlights, either side of a new, chromed grille, along with a bolder front bumper, new 15" alloy rims and a revised rear bumper that now incorporates rear parking sensors.
The Almera's signature rear legroom and 490-litre boot haven't changed.
The flight deck, however, gets a new steering wheel with satellite controls for the new audio system - which now has a USB port in addition to Bluetooth wireless connectivity.
More expensive looking air-conditioning controls are housed in an reshaped centre stack, while contrast stitching on the new upholstery fabric lends a sporty touch.
The range still consists of just two variants - a five-speed manual and a four-speed auto, each with a 73kW/134Nm, 1.5-litre petrol four, and all the usual safety kit.
