Porsche South Africa has just opened the order books for its most potent saloon ever.
Set to reach our shores in February next year, the Panamera Turbo S will go on sale for R2 380 000 with a three-year DrivePlan or R2 430 000 if you opt for the five-year plan. Ouch.
Yet for that you're getting a truly explosive super-saloon that runs to 100km/h in only 3.8 seconds and reaches 307km/h. Its 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8 pushes a wholesome 420kW and up to 800Nm (on overboost) through all four wheel.
The Turbo S rides on 20-inch 911 Turbo alloy wheels and comes with the Sport Chrono handling package as standard, although you'll have to pay extra for the more sonorous sports exhaust system.
Porsche will also offer an extended-wheelbase Executive version of the Panamera Turbo S although there's no word, as yet, on its local availability.
