Stuttgart, Germany - Porsche has halted production of one of the world’s most coveted supercars, the plug-in hybrid 918 Spyder, after selling every car made.

A total of 918 of the exotic, limited-edition supercar were made, as Porsche had announced at the model’s launch, with prices starting from about €765 000 (R10.45 million).
Production has been sold out since September 2014.
The 918 Spyder uses a mid-mounted V8 engine and electric motors at each rear axle to deliver awesome acceleration, launching the car from 0-100km/h in 2.6 seconds.
It was first shown as a concept at the 2010 Geneva car show before going into production in 2013.
