In a game that had it all, the Blitzboks once again showed their class as they advanced to the Sydney Sevens final, beating the USA in comprehensive fashion 35-7.
A slow start, and a yellow card a piece for the sides, eventually saw the South Africans run away with it in the end.
South Africa now go on to defend their crown at 11.45 am, against Australia.
The Blitzboks opened the scoring with a well worked move that saw Seabelo Senatla grab the ball on the switch and sprint to the line for the first points of the game.
After sussing the conditions out a bit more, Justin Geduld was caught slapping the ball down in the middle of a USA attack, which saw him sent to the bin.
The USA duly took advantage as their own speedster Perry Baker scored as Geduld returned.
Just before half time, there was a change in fortunes as the USA got a yellow card for a high tackle. The Blitzboks used the advantage almost straight away, Tim Agaba the man over at the break, the Blitzboks leading 14-7.
With the advantage still there after the break, Werner Kok managed to push through the USA defence to stretch the lead. So began the Blitzboks late dominance as Justin Geduld and Senatla grabbed tries to finish off the USA’s hopes.

Earlier in the quarter final, Neil Powell's men dispatched Kenya 17-0 on Sunday morning. The clinical display, that kept the Kenyan's tryless, once again reiterated the determined Blitzboks claim to the Sydney throne.
It was the wide man Seabelo Senatla that set the BlitzBoks up as he grabbed a brace during regular time, the Blitzboks overall defence was the other hero of the match. The Kenyans, famed for their ranging breaks, were kept silent by a determined South African outfit.
The match was made safe when Tim Agaba got a try in extra time try, sending the Blitzboks through to the semifinals.
The USA were the surprise winners over the ever present Fijians as they fell 24-7 in the one of the other cup quarter finals.
Australia beat Argentina 28-0 in their Cup semi final.
This means that South Africa have a perfect opportunity to take the lead in the series race as three of their big competitors have been knocked down a peg in New Zealand, Fiji, and England.
