As Bafana Bafana, gears up to face South Sudan, in a must-win Afcon qualifier on Tuesday, coach Hugo Broos says he has the important task of putting together a 'mentally strong team'.

Bafana will head into the game looking to claim all three points after only managing a 2-2 draw against lowly ranked Uganda in their opening game of the qualifiers at the Orlando Stadium on Friday.

Speaking to the media after the draw against Uganda, Broos, he said he has the important task of putting together a mentally strong team.

“We played almost the exact game against Liberia also 2-2 a little bit different but you can’t compare it.

“Three days later we played a fantastic game in a synthetic field in Liberia, so let’s take that in my mind.

“And also for me now I have a very important job to do, which is put a mentally strong team on the pitch next Tuesday,” the Belgian tactician said.

Broos added that there will be changes to the team that will lock horns against the “Bright Stars” on Tuesday as he seeks to get Bafana’s qualifying campaign back on track.

“We will try to find a solution on Tuesday and certainly not start to doubt players no, but you can be sure that there will be some changes to the team and that’s for sure,” Broos added.
