Drip Footwear founder Lekau Sehoana is trending on social media after the tabloids reported he had been evicted from his rental property in Waterfall, Johannesburg.
To clear the air, he released a statement saying he had not been evicted. Instead, it was his estranged wife who was sent packing.
“I have noted media outlets running with the story that I, my soon-to-be ex-wife and son were evicted out of a property in Waterfall.
“The story is factually incorrect and it is intended to divert the public’s attention from Drip’s five-year celebration,” he said.
“First, I have not lived with my soon-to-be ex-wife since 2021 and I have no access to my son. I was renting the property for my soon-to-be ex-wife in order to provide a home for my son.”
And while he provided proof that the landlord said he could terminate the lease, the businessman also revealed shocking information about his estranged wife.
Besides mentioning that his estranged wife had sub-let the property to other people, Sehoana also revealed that she was the subject of an ongoing murder investigations.
“I was previously notified by the landlord informing me that the police sought access to the property in order to seek her assistance with their investigations into the murder of Drip’s former MD, Ms Glenda Ndlanzi.”
The Past 3 Years has been filled with joy of growth and a very dark side i told myself I’m never going to go public with.

Sehoana’s followers empathised with him, saying he must keep his head up high and continue fighting for his son.
“Wishing you strength @LekauSehoana through these troubling times. May you and your soon-to-be ex-wife find common ground for the sake somntwana (of the child),” commented @SceloPGumede.
Another follower, @ThembzMpapele, said: “We stand with you, brother. You don’t have to prove anything to anyone, your brand speaks for itself already ignore the noises.”
In other news, Sehoana announced that his shack, which used to be his home was broken into after he turned it into a pop-up store. He said he expected the break-in, so he only left the books inside and not his stock.
Sehoana’s estranged wife has kept her distance from the public eye since their separation in 2021.
