Miss SA pageant reveals its top 30 for 2022

The Miss South Africa organisation has revealed its top 30 women who are vying for the coveted title.

Whoever takes the crown will be following in the footsteps of Zozibini Tunzi who took the title of Miss Universe 2019, Former Miss SA 2020 Shudufadzo Musida who is an author and mental health advocate, and the reigning Miss SA Lalela Mswane.

The beauty queens are women from all walks of life with a common goal of being Miss South Africa and taking the tittle beyond the SA shores.

The contestants come from all over South Africa, with Gauteng leading the field with 13 contestants (with three from Soweto and two from Tshwane); the Western Cape has five; KwaZulu-Natal has four; the Eastern Cape is represented by three women; the Free State has two, as has the North West and there is one from Limpopo.

For the next few weeks, the women will be out to impress this year's Top 30 judges who are radio presenter and personality and Miss South Africa 2015 Liesl Laurie, body positive activist Tracey-Lee Lusty Horwitz, Dentsu CEO Koo Govender, fashion designer Khosi Nkosi, True Love Editor-in-Chief, Makhosazana Zwane-Siguqa, actor Simoné Nortmann and actor and TV personality Thando Thabethe.

The list includes Alyssa Smith, Anarzade Omar, Ayanda Thabethe, Ayanda Tloti, Bethany Damonse, Bianca Bezuidenhout, Boniswa Mapisa, Chuma Matsaluka, Fortunate Mabeleng, Itumeleng Parage, Keaoleboga Nkashe, Lebogang Mahlangu, Lehlogonolo Machaba, Lisanne Lazarus, Luvé Meyer, Luyanda Zuma, Misqah Snyders, Mphoentle Plaatjie, Naledi Matabane, Ndavi Nokeri, Nompumelelo Mampholo, Nthabiseng Kgasi, Pearl Ntshehi, Shevon Periera, Stacy Gossayn, Tamsyn Jack, Thulani Ndzotyana, Tlotlo Mabiletsa, Tyhler Duimpies and Zoey Seboe.

The Top 10, who will go through to the finals, will be announced on June 13 via the Miss South Africa App which can be downloaded for free from the Apple app store or Google play store.

The organisation recently launched its digital application that enables people to engage in what happens in the competition.

CEO of the Miss South Africa Organisation, Stephanie Weil said they are pleased to introduce a platform that will add more quality to the Miss SA competition.

“We are proud to announce the launch of the official Miss South Africa App. The app is aimed at expanding the Miss SA digital platforms and adding a new dimension to the Miss SA Competition.” Said, Weil.
