Springbok and Stormers star, Manie Libbok, alongside his wife, Vernalee Libbok, are savouring the rich culture and vibrant landscapes of Thailand during their current holiday.

The couple has taken to Instagram to share snippets of their exotic experience, showcasing the tropical beauty and culinary delights of the Asian paradise.

Known for its stunning beaches, majestic royal palaces, and ancient temples, Thailand presents an irresistible allure for travellers, especially South Africans who find it both accessible and affordable.

On this trip, the Libboks have opted for the opulence of the five-star Four Seasons Resort on the idyllic island of Koh Samui.

Amidst their explorations, the couple made a memorable visit to Wat Ratchabophit, a remarkable Buddhist temple located on Fueang Nakhon Road in Bangkok.

Vernalee expressed her gratitude for the culturally enriching experience, stating, “Grateful for the experience. The respect and discipline truly stood out, as well as the rich history. Thank you for sharing it with us in such a meaningful way @chitpas🇹🇭🙌🏽.”

The culinary journey continued as the Libboks indulged in an exquisite dining experience at Baan Tepa Culinary Space, hosted by their Thai politician friend, Tant Chitpas Kridakon.

This meal further highlighted the vibrant flavours and culinary heritage of Thailand, leaving lasting impressions on the couple.

For a dose of relaxation, Vernalee took time to pamper herself at the renowned RAKxa Integrative Wellness in Bang Nam Phueng, indulging in rejuvenating treatments that epitomise the holistic approach to health and wellness.

In addition to leisurely activities, the Libboks engaged with the local rugby community, spending quality time with the Thai Women’s Rugby Team, the Men’s National Thai Team, and junior players.

Kridakon expressed heartfelt appreciation for the couple’s visit, stating, “Thank you for being such an inspiration to our rugby players, your talent is admired by so many.

“I hope you know how grateful we are and how much it meant to everyone yesterday - not every day we have the privilege to spend time and learn from a World Cup Champion, The Springboks 4 times Rugby World Cup Champions🫶🏼❤️baie dankie🙏🏻.”

This holiday not only embodies relaxation and adventure for the Libboks but also serves as an important cultural exchange, showcasing the bond between South Africa and Thailand through the universal language of sport.
