Johannesburg - In all aspects of society, there are phenomenal women who are making a difference in the lives of those around them while also striving to new heights. This Women’s Month, The Saturday Star will be profiling some of the nation’s leading ladies.
“Dedicated to everyone who wonders if I’m writing about them… I am”
Tiffany Barbuzano is an actress, writer and producer - a mom, a wife and an ally. She loves food, good food. She has also been told that she is funny. Funny ‘ha ha’ to some people and funny ‘strange’ to others - which is just as she likes it - after all, all the best people are a little strange.
She also does other things. She has head writing experience of SAFTA nominated shows such as Sober Companion, Ses Top La, Abo Mzala, Die Vlieende Springbokkie, Karavaan and Kota Life Crisis to name a few.
Tiffany loves words - to use them, write them or share them with others. She is, at heart, a story teller. She is a believer in magic and miracles and manifesting your best life.
Tiffany’s other true love is acting - another form of storytelling. She is a two-time SAFTA winning actress (Sex Tips for Girls, 2013 and Sober Companion, 2017). And a SAFTA nominated lead actress for the hit show Still Breathing (2020) - which she wrote, produced and starred in alongside her husband and lifelong talent crush -Johnny Barbuzano.
Together they own production company BBZEE FILMS. She is currently writing a new action comedy movie which will film in November this year.
If you’re looking for Tiffany, she is either with her two beautiful boys - Jamie (11) and Jesse (7), the loves of her life, at the gym, cooking up some high protein, low calorie meals for her Tiktok community or watching television and movies for inspiration and of course, plotting her next adventure - in writing or acting.
